One of my former correspondents wrote a book and included essentially all of
these Marylanders as "Withington." On my wife's ancestors, Gabriel Thompson
married Elizabeth Weatherington in Nelson Co or Washington Co, KY.

Most of the people with Wethington, Withington, Weatherington in KY wound up
in Casey County where they are like Mattinglys in Washington County where
children were taught not to throw rocks - they might hit a Mule or a
Mattingly.

Some of the Weatherington's before the KY migration, or about the same time,
travelled out to the area near St Louis, MO.

That is why I do not see Worthington.
