Subject: [MDCHARLE-L] William Shaw

I feel that I'm looking for the impossible...A William Shaw, that may have
been born in England around 1766 and married a Priscilla (maiden name
unknown) around 1785, possibly in Charles Co., Md. Their first two children
were twins (Joseph & Sarah) born 2 June 1786, at Prince Georges, St. Johns
Parish, Charles Co., Md. Their christening shows the "Lower Chapple." Is that
the same as St. John's Parish?
William died before 1820, as Priscilla is shown on the 1820 Charles Co.
census, as the head of the family. She and the younger children left Md.
around 1822 for Nicholas Co. Ky. Just whom were William's parents and what
was Priscilla's maiden name?
What makes this so difficult is 1) There were so many William Shaws, in the
Prince Georges and Charles Counties and some have been incorrectly merged 2)
And, I have so little factual information. So, I will hope for the best.
Thanks for any assistance,
Myrle Shaw
