Hello Anne,
All I know for sure is that my 5th great grandfather was Col.
Henry White who settled in Spartanburg, S.C.. He came from Va to there, I
think from Orange Co where some of his kids were born. But my great
grandfather wrote that as far as he could find out was that in the early
1700s two brothers came from Britain to America, one settleing in Va and the
other in SC., he being Henry White. I do know that all through the years
from then to now the Whites branched out and migrated to many states. So a
heap of the Whites in this country are probably related.
