Several years ago I summarized the deed information I had accumalated to try
to create a history of sorts for the various plantations my Harbins were
involved with. It occurs to me that with all the posts people have been
making lately the same thing could be done with them and it might prove very
helpful. At one time I considered trying to map out their locations, but my
being on the west coast & not having a background in cartography put a stop
to that (wise decision!). I did find a book or something that helped me map
out where the various hundreds were & where the churches were though, which
I consider crucial information to know.
So - for what it is worth, here are my earlier summaries. I have abstracts
from most of the deeds, which I would be glad to post if people are
interested. They should be on either the GenWeb or Roots archives already,
I think. Does anyone else want to contribute the same type of information
from their records?
