Plantation and land holdings were named as in the Maidstone in this
post. Can anyone tell me if there is a central listing of such names?
The question in my mind arises because I have a WHITTINGTON family of
Maidstone in Anne Arundel in about the same time period. How often was
it that land holdings in Maryland held the same name? And how confusing
can THAT become?
