Thanks, Norma and Linda Reno for your replies to my question regarding
Charles Yates and his daughter, Elizabeth.
I am going to look through all my notes and get back to this. Somehow, I do
recall a Jane Liddle (Lydal?) but also had
Jane Bryan Some researchers have given 1729 as the wedding date of Jane
Bryan and Charles Yates which would be fine as far as his age goes but then,
again, despite his being "of age", even if Elizabeth were the first child,
she would only be 10 yrs old when her daughter Anne Gwinn was born. Either
way, Elizabeth Yates doesn't "fit." Yet she is mentioned in Charles Yates'
will and also in the will of his brother Francis. And in my family papers
she is listed as Anne Gwinn's mother.

I wish I could see what Southern Md. Community College has in their Yates
folder.
