Message Board Post:
fellow Lister,
I'm interested in the migration to Deleware.
I have a brickwall (my grgrgreat grandfather whose name was Pvt. Michael
wo(o)lford of Somerset Co.,Md.
I know the Woolfords came from england and saw on an ancient map that the
Courseys lived only a few miles from the Towns of Little Wolford and Greater
Woolford,Warwickshire Co,Upton on Stour(near Shahespears home town Stratford
on Avon.1600's and before).
The Walfords were hires of the throne at that time .
They had a church(held 500!?) and were sponsored by Merton college,a branch
of Oxford college.
Woolford's Cottages to the North were only 10 miles from Edinboro,Scotland.
The Woolfords were well thought of by Scots in America.
Max Mickey
