Few English passenger ship lists for carrying British subjects exist. They
were maintained by the British Board of Trade , not the Government.
Most the listed emigrants in books were either the very earliest ones being
entitled to land by virtue of their emigration, or those convicted of crime
and "transported" to America and/or Scottish rebels.

According to Skordas "Early Settlers of Maryland " and the supplement, John
Larkin "Innholder of Ann Arundel Co," filed a patent for Greenfield, in
Baltimore Co (750ac)and Larkins Choice of 33l ac on l2 Aug, l670.
Skordas also listed a Nicholas Larkie who immigrated in l66l with wife.
