On yesterday's history moment by John Ashbury he included -

On June 20, 1863, there was heavy fighting around
Frederick and Middletown as Lee's Confederate Army
moved north.

Are there any history buff's on the list that have any more information
about the Middletown area during that period? I have two ancestor's
(father & daughter) who died within a month of each other in the fall
(Sept. & Oct.) of 1863 in Middletown and it seemed that the fighting or
an epidemic perhaps could have been the cause.
