Hi, I am new to this list! I am researching my Eckenrode ancestors in Frederick County, MD and Adams County, PA. My G-Great Grandfather Charles J Eckenrode is listed in the Mount Joy (PA) Census as coming from Maryland (he also stated that he was from Frederick County, MD). I have conflicting information from other family members that he was born in Wilkes Barre, PA 1857... anyway, is anyone out there related to my G-Great Grandfather? I have some evidence that his father was Jacob Eckenrode and his mother was Catharine Hemler. His wife was Theresa Smith.
