Subject: [MDFR] Question - What is Plane No. 4?
Date: Tue, 08 Oct 2002 19:45:00 -0400

Does anyone know what Plane No. 4 is, as in this obituary for my
gggrandfather? I have seen this term used in another obituary in relation
to the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad.

Deaths - The Examiner - Wednesday, May 26, 1886

On May 18, 1886, at Plane No. 4, Josiah W. Purdum, in the 78th year of his
age.

This obit comes from a Frederick, Frederick County, Maryland newspaper. It
may have to do with either Frederick or Montgomery Counties because that
family lived in both.

Thanks for any help.

Vicki Crawford Carroll
