I have the very same problem. Several of my most beloved books are
completely apart and kept together with binder clips. I'd 3-hole punch and
put in a binder, but I'm afraid I'd punch through important info. I even
have several lesser used paperbacks that are starting to come apart. I
don't know if this is true of all paperbacks, or if there are different
processes and some hold up better than others. On the other hand, I wonder
what the History of Frederick County would cost in hard cover. I purchased
the 3-volume set of History of York County, Pennsylvania by Prowell in hard
cover a few years ago for $150.
