Thanks for posting this 1872 news. It mentioned George W. Pole, whom I
have been focusing on in my research the past couple of weeks!

If anyone is interested, I just updated my GEDCOM which has information
on George W. Pole's ancestors. It has a lot of original source
material from the late 1700's-early 1800's from the New Windsor and
Westminster areas. You can access the GEDCOM at
http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/~pole1776. Earliest area resident was
Thomas Samuel Pole (died after 1894) - most of the original source
info is under him and his sons.
