This is a re-post of information I know about Francis HAGAN. My questions
are still: 1.where was he born; 2.who were his parents; 3.who were his
siblings.

I first found Francis Hagan in the records of the German Reformed Church of
Frederick, Md. He witnessed a marriage there in 1787. He married Margaret
RAMSOWER in this church in 1788. He died in Frederick County, MD in 1825
and is buried in the St. Johns the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church
cemetery. His headstone shows a birth date of June 6, 1763 but does not
indicate where. Francis and Margaret had five known children: 1.a girl who
died young; 2.Benjamin; 3.Francis, Jr.; 4.Adam; 5.Richard.

On July 24, 1802 the five Democratic members of the Levy Court appointed
Francis to be a Constable of the Sugarloaf District of Frederick, County.
Francis was appointed Judge of Election, Sugarloaf District May 27, 1803.
Francis was elected a Deputy Sheriff of Frederick, County in 1819.

I have througherly searched the Hagan clan of Charles County, MD and St.
Mary's County, MD and I have talked to many descendants of this clan. It
was determined my Francis Hagan did not originate there. Any help
researching this family appreciated.
Fred Hagan
