Your SCHERTZ names are mentioned quite a few times in the German Church
Records, but mostly for Baptisms & as communicants of the Jacobs E.L. Church
in Frederick County. For just this surname, several different given names
are mentioned. No burial listings registered in this book.

the Foxville area? I do know that my Schertz, Browns, Bowers and Ringers
were in that area till about 1830 but I haven't heard of any cemetery lists
from there. They would have been German Reformed or Lutheran.
