Would any kind soul just so happen to know the names of German
soldiers who were staying at the Hessian Barracks? Was an

On January 31, 1782, German soldiers captured at Yorktown arrived in
Frederick, where they were housed at what came to be known as The Hessian
Barracks. One of them was the father of Jacob Engelbrecht, the diarist, who
recorded local events from 1819 to 1878.
