Lois,
Jacob Brown was an attorney and a writer. He and his family lived somewhere
north of the the old STone House Inn on Rt. 40, east of Grantsville.
You can still get his book, "Brown's Miscellaneous Writings" from the
Historical Society.
I can't find anything around here lately so you'll have to check out the web
page for a listing of the books sold at the museum...and the address to
write to and the cost.
