Beth,
I think the divorces in Garrett County may be indexed as they were in
Allegany County. They should be able to locate the file with the name and
approximate date.
But, they only have the final judgement. For the entire case, they'll
either send to the Md. Archives for it or give you the box numbers so you
can go there and search for it.
And saying that, I want to tell everyone how very interesting it is to sit
and go through boxes of old court records from the Maryland Courthouses,
especially if it's a county, like Garrett, where you're familiar with a lot
of families. Would love to have the time to volunteer down there.
