I'm trying to trace the ancestry of my GGgrandmother Louisa Blocher Glotfelty
Slicer. What I know is:

Louisa Blocher, born March 1843 in Allegany Co., MD to Jacob Blocher and
Elizabeth Woodman. Louisa married (1) Unknown Glotfelty (we think, perhaps
she was adopted by a Glotfelty family alternatively) (2) Nathaniel Slicer.

I have already received much information on the Slicer family and am trying
to trace Louisa's family now. I have a very, very small clue that perhaps
she is descended from an Andrew Blocher/Andreas Plotcher (1760-1837) who was
born in Germany.

Does anyone on this list have information on Andrew's descendents and/or on
Louisa's ancesters? I have heard of a book titled The Blocher Family,
1757-1874 by Charles E. Hoye and/or references to to a family history column
dated 8 August 1935 in the "Mountain Democrat" a newspaper for Garrett County.

Thank you, Karen Cooke
