Thank you, Alice, for your offer; if there is an index containing surnames
of folks who lived in Garrett County in 1880, I am still looking for the
elusive Wetzel connection; ggm's name was Ella Melissa Wetzel, and I have a
copy of a census page (have to dig it out to find the year) that said she
came from Georgia; don't know if that means Georgia as in Russia or Georgia
is in southern USA. She married my ggf, Lewis A. Kallmyer. Wetzel may have
been spelled differently, as in Whetzel, Whetsel, Weitzel, etc. Thanks very
much for your time.
