Three Junkins brothers arrived in what is now Mineral County approximately 1795, Twins Richard and William left Londonderry, Ireland and sailed for America. The younger brother John W. stowed away on the ship and was not discovered until to later to turn back. His will to come to America was that strong. Richard and William acquired land near Hartmonsville and Emoryville. The true reason of the migration of Richard, William and John W. to the United States in 1795 will never be known. All we have are Vague records from family members of stories told to them by grandparents, uncles and aunts.
It appears that the Parents of the boys and the two younger son's were already here.
I will list the children of the son's on later postings to the list.
