Hi!

Yep, they used the Huff/Hoff name. In fact many people used to say "Hey
Huff" when getting my Dad's attention. He would turn around like everything
was normal.
My Mom always used to say, "Our name if Hoff!" If it was or wasn't didn't
seem to bother Dad one way or another. In fact, he always referred to our
name as Huff!

I believe Gabe Huff who was a brother to my grandfather Hanwalt C. Hoff, and
the son of Charles T. Hoff, either used the name Huff during his lifetime or
at least he was always called by the name Huff. I am still trying to
determine where they all came from before they got to the US.
