Hi there,
The Playford Friend listed in the Canaan Cemetery Transcript is not likely
the fellow you are thinking of.
This Playford (a first cousin of my late father-in-law) lived out his entire
life in the Banks District of Upshur Co. WV.
He is the s/o Jasper Friend & "Ollie" Strader, while the fellow you are
probably thinking of is the son of Zachary Friend & Elizabeth Feather of
Friendsville.
