Judson V. Friend, 69, of Friendsville, died Tuesday, May 18, in Garrett
County Memorial Hospital, Oakland, after a long illness.

Born in Friendsville, he was the son of the late William and Eliza Jane
Umbel Friend. His wife, Cora Frazee Friend, preceded him in death. Mr.
Friend was a member of the Keeler Glade Church of God.

Surviving are three son, Ward, Wade and Paul Friend; two daughters, Mrs.
Pauline DeWitt, and Mrs. Glenna Workman; three brothers, Lloyd, Orval , and
Troy ; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Bishop and Mrs. Lena Hinebaugh; 18
grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Newman Funeral residence i Friendsville.

Funeral services are being conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the
Blooming Rose Methodist church by Rev. Vernon Wilt. Burial will be in the
church cemetery.
