A requiem mass for Mrs. Elizabeth Beatrice Thomas, 69, of 108 Main Street, Westernport, who died last Friday, was celebrated Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Church with Rev. Francis Gollery officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wilbur Johnson, William Paitsel, Russell McBee, Owen Lewis, Alton Fortney, and Eldred Broadwater.
A former teacher in Allegany County, she was retired librarian for the Westernport branch of the Allegany County library, and served until several months ago as executive secretary of the Tri-Towns United Organizations. She was a member of Kelly-Mansfield Unit 52, American Legion Auxiliary, the Ladies Auxiliary of Potomac Fire Company Number 2, St. Peter's Catholic Church and Court Sancta Maria 485, Catholic Daughters of America.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. William L. Jenkins, Westernport; a brother, Fredrick Frenzel, and a sister, Mrs. Alberta Smith, both of St. Petersburg, Fla., and three grandchildren.
