Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Adams, 59, of 14409 Barbera Avenue, Livonia, Mich., who died last Tuesday at St. Mary's hospital there, were held Sunday at the George Funeral home, Cumberland, with the Rev. John S. Park, pastor of Kingsley United Methodist church officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest Burial Park.
A native of Luke, she and her husband, Leonard E. Adams, who survives, resided in Cumberland for 21 years. She was a daughter of the late James e. and Leoti A. (Kabrick) Gardner.
She was a graduate of Keyser High school in 1927; Potomac State College and Shepherd College. She was a former teacher in the Mineral County school system, and was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church, Livonia.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ann Kathryn Hardesty, Millerville, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Kathryn Ney, Norfolk, Va., and a brother, Clyde W. Gardner, Keyser and two grandchildren.
