Maybe you'll find some clues in the following extracts from Hoye's book and
the Bittinger book ... My Dad (Ernest Elwood Hetrick, 1902-1976), grew up in
Bittinger, MD and some of the Stanton's were his closest friends.

Per Hoye's Pioneer Families of Garrett County . . . under the information
written about the Stanton Family, there was mention of a Johnathan CAMP, i.e.,

It appears that "Thomas STANTON was one of the earliest settlers of the
Little Crossings neighborhood, being one of those reported squatted on State land
"westward of Ft Cumberland in 1787. In 1792 he surveyed and patented "Stanton's
Purchase," 62 acres; this is the tract in "Smooth Valley," west side of
Chestnut Ridge, on the Braddock Road--now the property of Milton B. Miller. Here
Thomas Stanton resided and kept an Inn, a competitor of Tomlinson on the east
side of the Ridge."

"In 1800 Thomas Stanton is listed as head of a family of four."

"Thomas Stanton made a will in 1797, witnessed by J.W. Dixon, Jesse
Tomlinson, Douglass Baker and Thomas Moon and probated in Cumberland in 1803. In this
will he names his sons Azariah, James, Joshua and George. To his wife he
bequethed all his property for her life time, except a few articles. To Azariah ...;
to James ...; to Joshua ...; and to his grandson Johnathan CAMP, 10 pounds
(?) for his education, and when he came of age, a horse and saddle valued at 20
pounds (?). After the death of his wife, he devised his plantation to his four
sons."

"In 1808 George STANTON, as executor, filed his first settlement, charging
himself with the amount of inventory ... and taking credit for three payments to
Jesse TOMLINSON. In 1813 his second and last account was filed, showing
payment to Johnathan CAMP in full, payment to Uriah STANTON of ... and to John
STANTON .... Uriah and John were sons of Thomas STANTON."

Per the Bittinger Book . . . Children of Wilson "Wils" CAMP and Dora Kerling:
Carrie Margaret CAMP (July 29, 1905-Nov 18, 1984), m. Carl Everett MILLER mn
(Jun 18, 1901-June 2, 1945), son of Clarence C. MILLER and Catharine M. HANFT.
Creamery worker. Grantsville, MD; Rockwood, PA; Keysers Ridge, Garrett Co.,
MD.

Albert "Dusty" CAMP (Mar 7, 1913-Oct 7, 1974). Truck driver, m. Alma Mildred
HETRICK (b Oct 17, 1915), dau of John Calvin Hetrick and Samantha May WRIGHT,
Keysers Ridge. John worked for MD State Highway Administration. I'm looking
for John Calvin's father John Hetrick (b. 1840) from Hesse-Kassel or Zeilbach,
Germany. It appears that John Calvin was born after 5 or 6 sisters. May have
been the only son born to John and Laura Kimmet HETRICK. It appears they lived
in the vacinity of Rabbit Hollow Road in rural Accident near Kaiser's Ridge.

Side note to Carolyn Shupe: Carolyn, I bet this was the "Doc" Hetrick we
discussed some months ago.

Am searching for info on the Camp family surname. The only info I have so far
is Charles Franklin Camp born 10April 1893 in Accident,Garrette Co. Charles
m. Maude Hiles from Fayette Co. PA
Wasn't able to find any Hiles--closest I came was the "HILL" surname.

I am trying to find any sibs and parents of Charles. I do know that his
mothers name was Mary b abt 1861.Her maiden name may have been Braugher or similar
to that.

I found a Mary Susan KITZMILLER (dau of John II, son of pioneer John and wife
Ann WALKER KITZMILLER) m. to G. W. BRADOWER.

Per Hoyes, it appears that pioneer KITZMILLER "established himself at the
grist mill that stood along Difficult Creek near the present village of Gormania,
WV. He
was a miller and the product of this venture was used by the residents of a
large section of what is now Grant and Mineral Counties in WV and Garrett
County, MD."

I appreciate any help with info. Thank you

Good luck with your search.
