I have him as a son of Henry Bray.-Sam

1850 Allegany County census, Glades District, page 66b,
Sk Image 66b, taken August 29- Dwelling 856 Family 661
All born in MD. No children attended school.
"Henry Bray", WM age 50 (1800), Farmer, $1000 Real Estate.
"Mary", WF age 51 (1799). "Jas.", WM age 25 (1825).
"Jas. M. Ford", WM age 21 (1829), Carpenter. "Solomon Bray",
WM age 23 (1827), Farmer. "John", WM age 21 (1829). "Susan",
WF age 18 (1832). "Cynthia", WF age 16 (1834). "Eliza", WF
age 14 (1836). "Emily", WF age 10 (1840).

Apparently Mary had died before 1860, because in 1860, Henry
Bray was counted in the household of his son-in-law Nicholas
Paugh and Daughter, Eliza (Bray) Paugh, with several children.

("Nelson Paugh", HH) "Henry Bray" WM age 60 (1800), Farm
Laborer. "Sarah" (Bray), WF age 8 (1852). "William" (Bray),
WM age 5 (1855). "Isiah" (Bray), WM age 4 (1856).
* "Nelson" Paugh, should have been "Nicholas", rather
than Nelson. They were enumerated just before Rudolph
Beckman in 1860.

House. "William", WM age 15 (1855), Farm Laborer. "Sarah J.",
WF age 18 (1852), Domestic Service. "Zenith E.", WF age 15
(1855), "at Home." "McRobie, Winnifred, WF age 1 (1869).

*"Zenith E." (probably 'Azeneth') may have been a child of 2nd
wife, Susan A. (Unknown) before she married Henry Bray. -SJB
