Art,
The Glades Star did a "Civil War Centennial Issue" listing
Civil War soldiers from Garrett County, and they said they
knew they didn't have records for all soldiers, however,
listed is Charles A. Friend, Co. D. 3rd MD PHB, Int. Sang
Run. John Spencer is not listed.

I think there is another "updated" story about Civil War
soldiers in one of the Glades Star Vol. books, but I have
eight Vol.s and they aren't "all name indexed". It might
take a while to find the updated listing, but if I can find
it, I will check for John Spencer.

Check with Martha she may have something about John Spencer.
