CHARLES BLAINE SPIKER.
Sonny . . . I looked through -- Pioneer Families of Garrett County by Charles
E. Hoye and the following are probably long shots, but there was a mention of
a (1) Hannah Falkenstine (b. 1805; d. 11/3/1874) who was m. to Lewis Wetzel
Wolf, named for his uncle the Indian fighter, born 4/17/1804; died 9/26/1886.
Cranesville, WV. (2) Also a mention of a Sarah Wolf -- the first wife of Henry
Lewis II's son Henry. (3) Henry Lewis II's son Philip m. Elizabeth Wolf. The
Lewises appeared to have lived on the land of Freeman Kelly a mile north of
Dority. Henry II lived on Lick Run and the original Henry Lewis was on the tax
lists of what is now Preston County in 1783 and 1785. Also mentioned was the
area or neighborhood of the Cheat River and having to cross it to go back and
forth to MD. There were also Lewises in the Glades Hundred in 1800. The Lewis
family appears to have been Welsh.

Checked The Bittinger Bittner, Biddinger, and Bidinger Families -- nothing.

Checked the Opel Becket Kestel Book -- nothing.

Checked the Beitzel Family -- nothing.

Checked The Old Pike book -- nothing.

Sorry couldn't be more help. Seems the names Charles and Blaine were real
popular in the 1860-1920 era. I have two Charles Hetricks and a Blaine Hetrick in
my family during that time period. Two of my uncles married Speicher women
(Blance and Nettie Speicher Hoover), and George Stark married their sister Sarah.
