Pat, the birth of this Augustine is generally given as abt. 1778. If
that date is correct, he would have been 12 when living at Dunkard
Bottom. I suspect that "assumed" birth date is off by several years, as
he would probably not set off on his own much before the age of 18. Do
you think Janice Sisler would have any further info? Delores
