Thanks for your info when I was trying to connect Charles Joseph Friend to Harriet Louise Nethken. Her children are Ruben, Robert b. 1899, Alice Degie b. 1902 and theodora.
Were they born to her before she married Charles Joseph, were they Charles' & Mahala McRobie's children and he brought them to the marriage of he & Harriett after Mahala died? Did she really marry this Casteel or is there another Hattie. She married Christian Miller sometime after Charles was killed in a mine accident in Crellin. I am waiting for Bonnie McRobie to get back to me. There are two sisters of Harrie or nieces in their 90's living in Thomas, WV and some people have gone to talk to them to see what they remember and they were also going to the court house to get birth certificates and death certificates.
