Hi - I am descended from the VAN SICKLE family who lived in the Garrett Co. area from the late 1700's. My only information comes from the book "Garrett County" by Stephen Schlosnagle, pub. 1978. Zachariah VAN SICKLE m. Susannah and had children: Ephraim, Jacob, Samuel, Lewis, Zachariah, Rachel, Catherine and Mary who married Daniel GRIFFITH, my 4th great-grandfather. Does anyone know where this family originated? I am assuming the Netherlands. Did they settle in NY or NJ before moving to MD? What was their religion?

Any information will be greatly appreciated!!!!!
