Sandy, Elk Garden is in Mineral County, I believe. What time frame do
you have for Clifton Martin? The Murphy name is found in Garrett County,
MD and in numerous counties in WV. My cousin's son married a Murphy from
Clarksburg. (He is now in Afghanistan, after graduating from West Point
and getting extra training in GA. He said most of his group from West
Point had been assigned to either Afghanistan or Iraq.) My information
on WV is from early on to the Civil War, generally, although Morton goes
later. I will try to look up Clifton Martin soon. Delores
