I stumbled across a site tonight for the Maryland Geological Survey that
mentions a cave located in Garrett County called Dead Man Cave.

They talk about a legend associated with the cave that deals with the Sines
family [I am a Sines descendant]. It says that a family named Sines lived in
the vicinty of the cave in the 1860's and that there were two brothers - one
of which was listed in the article as being retarded and murdered by the
other brother. The deceased brother was placed in the cave, which was later
filled in.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I would like to be able to figure out
who the two brothers were, if this is true.

Thanks,
Wendy Sines Mammoliti
