Hi Suzanne, One of our favorite places to visit in Oakland is the Garrett
Co. Historialical society. They have a museum and a genealogy research room
We also visited the Orphans Court at the Oakland Court house and was able
to get copies of wills. You can also get copies of marriage records at the
courthouse. There is a road map of Garrett Co. that we got either from the
motel or at the historical society. That helped us find our way around
Garrett Co. You will enjoy Garrett Co at that time of the year.

Planning trip in mid-June to do research on Ephraim KELSO (1847-1920+) and
his wife, Eliza E. WILSON (1849-1900+). Have no death dates or definite
locations other than lived in and around Oakland. Ephraim was listed as a
farmer in the census.

Since we will only have 3-4 days any suggestions on best places to do
research now before the trip or in the area.
