My father, Frederick Emanuel King (Fritz) was born in Vindex, MD 08-03-1914 /
Died Feb 1973 Morgantown, WV. A WWII veteran, he was, for too many years, a
coal miner. He always spoke of "over on the mountain" (one mile from Loch
Lynn..on the road to Steyer) & of his friend, Gus Hardesty. I have his mandolin
with his drawing of Alaskan mountains attached to it..under plastic. He probably
swapped (some) beer for it! He was quite a handsome man in his Army uniform.
My grandfather, Emanuel "Bud" King, was also a distinguished "old gent".
