Do you know if this family was related to the one, John Jacob Oaster?,
that lived in Hampshire Co., WV and that apparently moved to Randolph Co.,
VA? That family had a surviving widow that apparently continued to live in
Barbour County after 1850 although all the sons, except one, apparently had
already moved westward in the 1830s & 1840s. Apparently many of the
daughters of that family married and some of their descendants are still
living in Barbour Co, WV.
