Actually, the minutes are about the only thing there anymore. They are
complete from 1874 except for the years 1884 and 1885. At that time a new
Board was appointed and the old Board refused to leave. The matter was
finally settled in court, but the minutes of those two years did not
survive.
In1943 lack of space became such a problem that the Board gave its approval
for destroying all records that were more than ten years old, except
financial ones permanently bound. (That statement was in the minutes.)
They have some materials, such as financial recrods, teacher files, etc.,
but they are confidential and not available for general use.
As for student records, I think they too are confidential. They might go
back to the 1930s or 40s. Just last winter they had the student records put
on the computer and destroyed the paper files. If you have a question
someone there could probably look up the information for you.
