I got a letter from my Aunt Eloise about the Johnston, Miller, etc. family. Eloise is 83 years old. If anyone has anything to add to this, please contact me. Thanks

Hope this stirs up something as I have been dry for quite some time now.

"Mary Nevada (Miller) Miller was born in Westernport, MD, Allegany County on Hammond St., directly behind the Luthern Church, June 5, 1884, died May 29, 1934 at Deep Creek Lake.

Henry Archibald Miller was born in Scotland (I think Sharon), March 17, ____, died Jan. 26, 1946 in a nursing home in Loch Lynn (Garrett County). Both are buried in the Thayerville Cemetery at Deep Creek Lake.

The Millers from Scotland settled first in Pennsylvania and later in Lonaconing, MD. to work in the mines and then to Garrett County, living last at Holy Cross where Mom Miller kept house for the young priests. She later committed suicide (depressions - rat poison) in 1934. Pop Miller came to live with us in Westernport, MD where he later had a stroke and died at a nursing home in Lock Lynn.

Some of Pop Miller's family were guards to Queen Victoria of England. Later retiring to Australia. I was told that the men were all very tall with bright red hair. To my knowledge, once they migrated to Australia, the family lost track of them.
