Joseph D. Friend (Deer Park, Maryland area) married June 10, 1886 in Garrett
County, MD (1) Lucinda Smith b. about 1860 and they had a child named Mason
Friend.



Lucinda was listed as a widow. Does anyone know if Smith was her maiden
name or her married name? Does anyone know if Mason Friend ever married?
Mason is listed in the 1913 Cumberland Maryland Directory; "Mason L. Friend,
Clerk J. K. Ford, res. 141 1/2 Bedford". Mason is also listed in his
father's obituary (1922) as living in Cumberland, Maryland. I haven't been
able to find him in the census records.
