Hi Harriet,
I've been working on putting the Hederich/Hetrick and Diehl family lineage
charts into Word and I found a Hofmann
1. Anna Elisabetha Kratz, b. 3/10/1745, Zeilbach; d. 11/1/1828, Klein-Felda
(Godparent: Anna Elisabetha Kratz, mother of father, wife of Heinrich Kratz)
m. 11/20/1764
Johann Andreas Hederich* (son of Johann Jost Hederich, Stumpertenrod)
(Godparents: Andreas Jost Hederich, Schenckischer Hofmann, Stumpertenrod,
Ger.)
b. 4/7/1741, Klein-Felda; d. 12/7/1799, Klein-Felda

Schenckischer Hofmann probably goes back to the late 1600s.
