Ken,
The Elbow is a part of the Savage RIver. It refers to the bend in the river
but also the unusal mountain formation around it, Elbow mountain. It is now
part of a park and set aside for wilderness. Trout fishing in the river is
popular there and they stock the river to help the population. Families in this
area were Warnick (Warnick's point and Warnick Run) Fazenbaker and Broadwater.
The Broadwater Cemetery is located just south of the Elbow and Warnick's Point
along with Broadwater Chapel which sets on the River flood plain flat. This is
one of the most beautiful places on earth and no wonder our ancestors settled
there...but the winters! Todd
