I believe this Harry Junior Phillippi is the grandson of Missouri and a son of Missouri's son, Harry F. Phillipi, who married Vertie Pike.-
10/03
Harry Junior Phillip, 48, of 22 South Second Street, Oakland, died Sunday, December 7, in his home.
A native of Damascus, VA, he was a son of Mrs. Vertie Pike Phillippi, East Palaka, FL, and the late Harry F. Phillippi.
Mr. Phillippi was employed by the Minnich Funeral Home in Oakland and prior to that by the Leighton Brothers garage. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, was awarded the Bronze Star in both wars, and the Purple Heart during the Normandy invasion. He attended Deep Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are besides his mother, are his widow, Ann Lewis Phillippi; a daughter, Brenda Phillippi; a son Michael Phillippi, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Floretta Davis, North Bend, PA; Mrs. Muriel Sines, Mrs. June Friend, route 1, Oakland; two brothers, Paul Phillippi, Oakland and William Phillippi, Albany, Oregon.
The body was taken to the Minnich Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted from Deep Creek Baptist church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Robert G. Jennings, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
