Janie,

???? I had my credit card info stolen a few months ago, and was told by the company that issued the card that many thieves go to sites such as Ancestry to get info such as mothers maiden name, etc., so they can use the card.? So yes, it is common in the industry, not just ancestry.com.? It is the card thieves that are giving the industry the bad name, nothing wrong with Ancestry.com.

My husband just tried to use our debit card to subscribe to Ancestry.com and it
was rejected. Finally he called our bank and they said that ancestry.com has a
high rate of credit fraud and Visa will not allow it to be used there. Have you
all heard anything like this?

Thanks,

Janie
