Ross,
Thanks again. I got involved with the Miller lineage trying to help Kevin
Miller. His mother, Jean Tressler was married to Charles Jay Miller, son of
Frank Harry Miller & Nins (Lena?) Rosamond Walker. I have the lineage from there
as follows:
Frank Harry Miller, son of Phillip Miller, Jr
Phillip Miller, Jr. son of Phillip Miller, Sr. (see Phillip Miller below)
I rechecked my Hedderich/Hetrick lineage for Muellers. Unfortunately, all I
have is the surname Mueller as godparent to the following three
children--This/these(?) Muellers were probably born before "given" names. I have three
instances where the name appears as a godparent to a member of the Hetrick line:
(1) Godparent to Curt Kratz, b. 5/4/1606, Ruppertenrod, Ger. (Dorothea
Kratz's line, Johann Conrad Hetrick's mother, Conrad's paternal grandmother);
(2) Godparent to Caspar Burck, b.1691, Zeilbach, Ger., child of Maria
Schmidt & Johannes Burck (Conrad's mother, Anna Katharina's line);
(3) Godparent to Conrad Burck, b. 1703, Zeilbach, Ger., brother to #2 above,
Caspar Burck
Ross, can you connect Beulah's Miller line: Abraham Miller (5/13/1766-1821)
m. Anna Hoestettler (Berks County, Berlin, PA) to the Muellers connected to
my Hetricks above or to Johann Henrich Mueller below?
Ann Lock furnished the following lineage information: (LDS group sheets)
Johann Henrich Mueller (b. ?; d. 1/31/1806), m. 5/9/1765 Anna Dorothea
Weller, Wieseck, Hessen, Ger.
Son: Johann Heinrich Mueller (b. ?), m. Anna Catharina Doell, b. 4/26/1743,
Wieseck, Hessen, Ger.
Son: Johannes Mueller (b. 12/9/1772-d ?) m. 3/8/1798 Anna Elizabeth
Deibel (b. 11/24/1776-2/8/1833), Wieseck, Hessen, Ger. Their two sons:
(1) Phillip Mueller, Wieseck, Hessen, Ger.m. Anna Dorthea
Fisher
(2) Johann Melchoir Mueller (b. 4/1/1811, Wieseck, Hessen,
Ger.-d.2/28/1896, Accident, Garrett, MD) m. 12/16/1834 Christina Schwalb
Phillip Mueller, Wieseck, Hessen, Ger.m. Anna Dorthea Fisher.
3 children: (1) Phillip Miller (b. 1832, Wieseck, Hessen, Ger.) m. Kate
Goehringer, Sarah Bittinger
(2) Melchoir John Miller (1834-1915), Wieseck, Hessen,
Ger. m. 1857 Barbary Everlein, Accident, Garrett, MD
(3) Elizabeth Miller (1838, Wieseck, Hessen, Ger.-1916,
Accident, Garrett, MD)
Melchoir John Miller (1834-1915), Wieseck, Hessen, Ger. m. 1857 Barbary
Everlein, Accident, Garrett, MD ("Melky")
12 children: ( 1) Karl Miller (1858-1860)
( 2) Jacob William Miller (1860)
( 3) Elizabeth Miller (1862)
( 4) Charles Miller (1864)
( 5) Peter Miller (1867)
( 6) William Miller (6/29/1869)
( 7) Margaret Dorothy Miller (1871)
( 8) John Phillip Miller (1873)
( 9) Frederick Phillip Miller (1876)
(10) Eva Magdalena Miller (1879) TWIN
(11) Rose Sophia Miller (1879) TWIN
(12) Sophis S. Miller (1882)

Hi Lois,
When I first started the genealogy, I actually purchased those two books.
I don't know if I actually created such a bridge or not, but I'll bet one
exists between the data in those two books. If the information in those books
are correct, my Miller line goes back thru the Joseph H. Miller & Leah Miller
marriage too. But in the sloppyness of my early work, I only have their son
Henry James Miller in my data. Later work would have included all their
children (silly me). I have the father of Joseph H Miller in my data as , but
nothing for Leah's parents.
If you haven't ever seen the Amish ... book, you might want to see if a
local library has it. There are Zug's galore in addition to your other names.
This book shows Abraham Miller & Anna Hochstetler's marriage and children
along with other informaton.
In a pinch, I might be able to look thru my book and copy some pages for
you, but you still should see the entire book for your info.
Regards - Ross

Ross,
So good to see ya back online! You may have just bridged a gap on the
Millers and Hostetlers that I've been working on with my Hetrick/Miller cousins and
their Millers in WV. Noticed lots of spellings for
Hostetler/Hoestettler/Hochstettler.
Beulah Miller gave me the following:
Abraham Miller (5/13/1766-1821) m. Anna Hoestettler (Berks County, Berlin,
PA)
Son Christian m. Madalina Zug (this rings a bell as a connection to Michael
Beeghley)
dau Leah m Joseph Miller
son John James Miller (b. 1852) m. (1892) Amanda Fresh
son James Fresh m. Leah Beeghley (Engle Mills, MD area). Their children:
(1) Harvey W.
(2) Ida M. m. Geo. Beitzel (brother to Henry Beitzel Jr., Cynthia Beitzel's
husband)--Cynthia Beitzel's parents: Augustis "Gus" Schneider and Mary
Elizabeth Bittinger. Gus is the son of Anna Mary Hetrick and Andrew Schneider).
Beulah referred to "Cousin Idi's" dau, Alverda.
(3) Earl
(4) John Wm. (Beulah's Dad)
Beulah gave me a couple of information resources:
William F. Hostetler Trails
Holmes County, OH
POB 73, Rt 1
Barrs Mills, Tuscarawas County, OH
Descendants of Jacob Hoestetler - $65
by Rev Harvey Hostetler, DD (corrected spelling of name 9/30)

Hi Folks,
Please keep me plugged in on the MILLER, SLABAUGH and WHITEHAIR discussions.
I have been a lurker in this group for a number of years without really
adding anything to the discussions.
My mother-in-law is the daughter of William A. MILLER (b 1884 Eglon WV), son
of Henry James MILLER and Mary SLABAUGH (Joesph Slabaugh & Elizabeth
Hershberger).
William's wife was Janey Elizabeth BRAFFORD (b 1888 Old Fields, WV),
daughter of Frank BRAFFORD and Alice PETERS.
Much of the MILLER / SLABAUGH information in my data was taken from two
books. So I have not done hardly any of my own direct research in this area.
(Yes, I "cheated the data" in my early years, before I discovered the need of
double checking the work of others and the excitement of making my own
discoveries.)
The books are:
Amish & Amish Mennonite Genealogies (Gingerich & Kreider, authors)
Decendents of Jacob Hochstetler (Harvey Hochstetler, author)
Regarding WHITEHAIR - My mother-in-law was briefly married to James A
WHITEHAIR, a marriage which resulted in one child (my wife). James was born in
1930, son of Orval WHITEHAIR and Lelia HERSHMANN.
The marriage to James ended in divorce 18 months later and my wife was
adopted by my mother-in-law's second husband. We have never tried to contact
living WHITEHAIR relatives, but have been active in tracing the roots of this
family. Orval is the son of David Henry WHITEHAIR
Anything I can expound on any information for anyone? Clearly I have not
gotten back to the dates you have in some places, but I may add other
connections for you.

Hmmmm. My 3rd g-grandmother was Anna Maria Weiss (White). Can you connect
to
any of the Millers I've put up? What is your Slabaugh connection. Mine go
back to Joseph Slabaugh?
