"Comments and concerns about other member's postings to all mailing lists
should be sent to the list's administrator. The contact information for the
administrator is at the bottom of every posting to rootsweb.com sites." My answer to the above is 'bull'. If I have to read it and look at the website (the information I get as part of this list), then I have a right torespond to the list. Otherwise, I will not waste my time with this list,if I can't do so (make comments/respond for the good prevent any one fromfalling prey to this rediclous post and information). I don't think Ishould be limited for speaking out, or even worse, put down for taking upfor ethical and legal family tree and history research issues with thecomment above. If the list abministrator can't say that I am right aboutmy comments, again, it is not worth my time and effort; hence, a form ofdescrimination when you look at it (on the admin's part). If some onecan put that on the list, then they better be ready for the law suitand criminal charges that might ensue (that includes any one who backsup the such, lets the such go on,
or gives the such an opportunity orThis is an issue that needs addressed becasue the end result iscompiling information, such as a family tree book and or history book -and that post by Carolyn was the wrong way to do it, the wrong way tosuggest to the group to do it, etc. and so there I have a right torespond to the group (the list admin can read my posts to the group).Becky DeWitt
