I think at one time I found Francis A. Nethken and thought this was the
husband of Mary Catherine Friend (maybe Francis A. also married to a Mary
C.-I don't remember) but I need Francis R. ----found in this agreement:
Garrett County Maryland Land Record
Book 46 page 204
At the request of F. R. Nethkin this Agreement was recorded October 6th 1903
at 12 o'clock p.m.

This Agreement made and concluded this fifth day of July, 1902, by and
between Freeman L. Friend of Harrison County and State of Missouri, party of
the first part, and Francis R. Nethkin and Mary C. Nethkin, his wife, of
Garrett County and State of Maryland, parties of the second part,
Witnesseth:

I realize the agreement reads NethkIn but Freeman Friend was his father in
law and other documents spell his surname as NethkEn.

Francis' father was Adam Nethken (1812-1872) and his mother Sally Browning
1821-

I do have Francis' middle name as Allen however, his uncle Charles Oliver
Nethken gave a disposition before the Maryland State Senate due to a
possible illegal election (due to armed men only allowing certain citizens
to vote (those with the 'correct' vote)).
