FWIW, Nicholas Haile/Hale of Baltimore Co is thought to been from Lancaster
Co., VA possibly the son
of Nicholas and Mary Heale/Hale. (he has a brother George and sister Mary
who married (1) Henry King and (2) Charles Merryman if he is the same
Nicholas Hale most people think he is).. Also I have seen a lot of
HALE/HAILE references in the 17th century in the northern neck of VA and
else where in VA. There seems to be several families there.. One a George
Hale came over at age 14 in 1620s to VA..
