Have been looking for a long time for this family.


Isaac Brittingham bc 1765, Worcerter Co. Md. child of Isaac:

James bc Sept/ Oct 13, 1797 mar (1) Lydia Wonnell Jan 29, 1821, dau of
James Wonnell,Ann (Carey) Wonnell in 1802. She died 1831.

James moved to Somerset Co, married Rosanna Adams Williams (Bennett)
Wainwright, in 1833.Rosanna died 1854. James married (3) Sarah Ann
Wallace 1856 in Sussex Co., DE James died 1857. leaving a son named
William J. Brittingham.

William J. Brittingham, son of James and Lydia (Wonnell) Brittingham.

He was born Worcester County, MD Jan 27, 1823. He married (1) Henrietta
Chaille Lawrence, daughter of Jonadad and Esther (Dubberly) Lawrence Jan
6, 1847, she was born July 18, 1825 and died Feb 17, 1864. He married
(2) Henrietta S. Gardner, dau of Clark Graham and Henrietta
(Adams-Brown) Gardner July 27, 1865, she was born on Dec 29, 1836?, died
Oct 22, 1866. He married (3) Sarah (Scrivner) Franklin of Washington DC
on May 24, 1871, she was born Nov 27, 1835, died Sept 17, 1908. They had
children:

2Bessie Gardner b Sept 28, 1853, d Feb 18, 1867

James farmed near Princess Ann and is buried in St. Andrews P.E.
Chruchyard in Princess Ann. He left a will witten Dec 21, 1899 amd died
April 18, 1900. The will mentions the surnames: Dixon, Spiva,and
children and grandchildren of Brittingham, Dixons, and Spiva's......

Laura Virgina mar Thomas Dixon of Somerset Co., son of George W. Dixon,
d. 1916, Laura died 1904. He was a grocer in PA. One child of this
marriage was Margaret, she married William Blanchet Spiva 1898

Henry Lawrence married Mary Bridelle Polk Mar 20, 1885 in Somerset

James Francis married Isabella D. Davis Nov 10, 1886

Ellan Amanda mar Rufus H. Milligan 1897


The last place I have them living was in Sussex Co. De.......where
James' widow returned with the baby William J. Brittingham. I would like
to contact anying with the connected to this family as I have been
looking for the parents of Isaac bc 1765 and his brother Elijah bc 1763.
I have lots of information on this family but not the unk father of
these two brothers. Any help out there........
